Folded Bodies
A recent article by Iain Borden "An affirmation of urban life: Skateboarding and socio-spacial censorship in the late twentieth century city" has inspired me to design an animated Virtual Reality Model of a young scateboarder doing a 'Nose Slide'. The shirt and trousers have been designed straight in the Virtual Workbench at the CSIRO/ACSYS in Canberra. An internal support structure has been added at Sydney Vislab before the 3D file was unfolded with my improved software, which makes the assembly process relatively fast and easy.
